I know there's been a lot of blogs about Miley's new music video "Wrecking Ball" but I thought I could also give my opinion. After I watched it a few things come to mind.
Who is the song written about and if it is about Liam then are they over? And if it's not about Liam does it bother Liam that Miley will always "want" someone else or so the song claims? Since the music video was released rumors of Liam and Miley on the rocks have resurfaced. Another source also claimed that Liam was the inspiration for her crying in the music video.
Miley's crying in the music video is actually pretty amazing. Her breathing shows that she really feels the emotions. It almost made me cry and was one of the things I thought was pretty amazing about the video. Another thing I liked was her white nails with red lipstick.
Now thinking back in time, obviously this song wasn't written yesterday and has been worked on for quite some time even when Liam and Miley weren't all breakup rumors.
A few things I didn't like in the music video included the fact that she got naked. Not because she got naked, she's beautiful. But was it the right moment to do that? The song is about "losing a love" or so I would call it. But all she does in the music video is sell herself to the camera by showing her body, touching herself, licking sledgehammers and swinging around naked on a wrecking ball. So my question is, do you think the music video is hypocritical in the sense of truly loving someone and showing them your emotions such as the crying (which I really liked in the video) vs. showing them your body in provacative poses?
I guess my last question is, if you were really making a music video about the love of your life and the end of your relationship would you make a music video where you stripped down to nothing and posed provactively or would you make more of a meaningful music video? And do you think that this music video IS meaningful or do you think that they should have put more... or perhaps less of "sex" and more of love? xo
